A school in the Jaffna region had requested funds to convert its open-air pavilion into a classroom.
In response, Ms. Aadhira, daughter of our member Mr. Rajeevan, donated LKR 30,000 on behalf of the Union to the school in celebration of her birthday on 19.04.2022.
On 21.04.2022, President Mr. M. Muralidharan personally visited the school to hand over the donation and, after observing the school environment, contributed LKR 25,000 from his own funds.
Additionally, his friend Mr. K. Duraisingam donated LKR 10,000 on behalf of the Union.
In total, a generous LKR 65,000 was donated for the school building.
