Nidwalden Tamil Organization

Nidwalden Tamil Organization was established in 2017 with the primary objective of uniting the Tamil community living in the Canton of Nidwalden, Switzerland, while promoting the Tamil language, arts, culture, and social harmony.

Operating in accordance with the laws and regulations of Switzerland, the organization is committed to fostering friendship, unity, and mutual cooperation among Tamils residing in the region. Through educational, cultural, and community-based initiatives, the association actively works to preserve and strengthen Tamil identity among younger generations.

The organization places particular emphasis on Tamil language education, cultural awareness, and social responsibility by conducting various educational programs, cultural events, discussions, and community activities. In addition, it is dedicated to preserving and passing on the history, heritage, and collective memories of the Eelam Tamil community and Tamil cultural traditions to future generations.

Nidwalden Tamil Organization also contributes to social welfare initiatives, educational development, and support for newly arrived Tamil families and individuals. Furthermore, the organization strives to introduce Tamil culture and traditions to the wider multicultural community in Switzerland, thereby encouraging intercultural understanding and coexistence.
